The Quidel® Triage® PLGF Test is used in conjunction with other clinical information as an aid in the diagnosis of preterm preeclampsia and as an aid in the prognosis of delivery in women presenting with signs and symptoms of preeclampsia after 20 weeks and prior to 35 weeks gestation.

Learning Objectives:

  1. To define preeclampsia and clinical burden
  2. To outline the evidence that led to PIGF testing coming into clinical practice in the UK
  3. To discuss the impact of PIGF-guided pathways on patient management and outcomes in suspected preeclampsia cases
  4. To review the versatility of a compact analyzer that gives flexibility for urban hospital and decentralized laboratory settings.
