Overview:
The Quidel™ Triage™ PIGF Test is used in conjunction with other clinical information as an aid in the diagnosis of preterm preeclampsia and as an aid in the prognosis of delivery, in women presenting with signs and symptoms of preeclampsia after 20 weeks and prior to 35 weeks gestation.
Learning objectives:
After participating in this session attendees will be able to:
1. Evaluate the association between placental growth factor (PlGF) levels, ultrasound findings, and perinatal outcomes in a high-risk pregnant population at a
tertiary referral centre in Western Canada.
2. Assess the predictive performance of the PlGF.
3. Explain the properties of PlGF testing that benefit urban and rural implementation.
