Purpose:

Improve the understanding and application of Type 1 Diabetes autoantibodies among clinical laboratories and close existing gaps through collaborative initiatives between diagnostic laboratories and external stakeholders.

General Activities:

• Conduct a national survey to characterize the current landscape of T1D autoantibody testing to identify the unmet needs.
• Gather evidence-based information and disseminate knowledge on the preanalytical, analytical, and post-analytical details regarding T1D autoantibody testing to support optimal testing practices.
• Produce educational resources, and where applicable, recommendations and guidance documents to support best laboratory practices.
