Call for Nominations and Applications for 2026 CSCC Awards and Grants
If you are thinking about nominating a colleague or a group for any of the CSCC Awards for 2026, or if you are considering applying for any of the CSCC grants, this email has all the information you need to help you spring into action!

LIST OF CSCC AWARDS FOR 2026:
CSCC AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO CLINICAL CHEMISTRY
The Award shall be presented as a mark of recognition of outstanding achievement in and/or contribution to the field of clinical chemistry.
CSCC AWARD FOR RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
The Award shall be presented to an individual or group, as a mark of recognition of their contribution to research directly or indirectly related to clinical chemistry in Canada.
CSCC AWARD FOR EDUCATION EXCELLENCE
The Award shall be presented to an individual or group as a mark of recognition of outstanding contribution to education in the field of clinical chemistry.
CSCC AWARD FOR INNOVATION IN LABORATORY MEDICINE
The Award shall be presented to a Clinical Laboratory in Canada that has distinguished itself by outstanding accomplishment through innovation in the field of Clinical Chemistry, or Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for projects where a CSCC member was directly involved. This award is intended to encourage and recognize excellence in Clinical Laboratory Services, especially in the role of improving the quality of health care, improving patient outcomes, and promoting a positive public image to clinical laboratories and laboratory professionals.

- A cover letter in support of the nominee and CV of the nominee should be provided for each nomination.
- No application form is required, except for the CSCC Award for Innovation in Laboratory Medicine. Its application form can be found in the same link as above, just below the Award heading.

CACB 2026 AWARD:
CSCC AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO CLINICAL CHEMISTRY
The Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry would like to honour a Fellow of the Academy for outstanding contributions that have advanced the standards and recognition of Clinical Biochemistry as a health care profession.
Members of the Academy are invited to nominate a Fellow who they feel is deserving of this Award.
HOW TO NOMINATE:
Nominations must include:
- Letter of nomination with supporting information indicating why the nominee is deserving of the award
- CV of the nominee
- Letter from the seconder of the award nomination
- The Terms of Reference for the Award and a list of past Award winners are available in the Academy section of the CSCC website – https://cscc-sccc.ca/academy/cacb-award/
