Kidney Disease SIG

Purpose:

The working group’s goal is to harmonize and improve kidney disease testing practices across laboratory medicine by understanding, sharing, and aligning practices.

general activities:

We have completed just the first year of this new SIG on Kidney Disease and have held numerous meetings with two goals. One to survey across the country the reporting and utilization practices on kidney disease testing, which is being finalized by a sub-group. This information is to be made available and published in an open access journal and will be followed up by a secondary publication of best practice recommendations.
